Tenure Track Assistant Professor Position at University of Waterloo: Human-Centered Robotic Technologies

The Department of Kinesiology in the Faculty of Health at the University of Waterloo is seeking an exceptional scholar and researcher for a tenure track Assistant Professor position in the area of Human-Centered Robotic Technologies.  This area spans from exoskeletons for occupational application to fundamental investigations of clinical applications of robotics.  In special circumstances, qualified candidates who are at the rank of Associate Professor may be considered.

  • Successful candidate will:
    • Have a PhD and an active research program
      • Possible disciplines and research themes include, but are not limited to: ergonomics, clinical biomechanics, performance enhancement, rehabilitation, or assistive robotics
    • Plan to develop or have both a fundamental and applied focus of research
    • Contribute to research, teaching (at the undergraduate and graduate levels), and supervise graduate students
    • Have a strong portfolio of scholarly research, evidence of ability to obtain extramural funding, and demonstrate the potential for excellence in teaching
